Below is a list of workshop offerings for this coming Friday. Put your name under the workshop heading you wish to attend on the attached sheet. Please remember that you are committing to this workshop by signing up – sign up, show up, and enjoy! Friday credit will be given on a Pass/No Pass basis. All workshops this month are eligible for Health credit.

Offering 1- Flirting or Hurting?, Sexual Harassment in Schools

Description: It can be hard to understand what is and isn’t sexual harassment and what to do if it happens to you. This informational workshop will use activities and discussion to inform students on what they can do to make sure being at school is safe for everyone and sexual harassment doesn’t happen. It’s about knowing your rights and responsibilities. Although this topic is serious, the vibe will be open, relaxed and fun.

Offering 2 An Apple a Day

Description: An apple a day keeps the doctor way. What will be better than a discussion of nutrition revolving around the wonderful local fruit, the apple. Unfortunately, it won't be apple season forever so why don't we can some applesauce to survive this long, cold, wet winter. We will discuss how to avoid getting botulism from canned food and the art of food preservation.

Offering 3 – Habits of thought

Description: How we think affects the way we see ourselves, and the way we see the world. But, can our thoughts actually change the world? Can our ideas make us sick, make us healthy, make us better athletes, or even make us rich? We will look at some scientific and some not so scientific evidence that describes how our perception of the world may change reality.

What you should bring: Your mind and an appreciation for playing with it.

Hi all,

Thanks to all who have signed up for conferences. Slots are filling up quickly. I currently have available:
Friday the 8th at 4:30 and 5:30
Thursday the 14th at 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, or 5:00
Friday the 15th is open from 3:30 to 5:30.
