Embedded Journalist Summary Assignment

Your final assignment for the quarter is to create a document for the class in which you have been an embedded journalist that summarized your observations there. You will be doing this in the lay-out program Scribus, available on all of the school computers and also available for free as a downloadable open source product at www.scribus.net. You will present your document to your cooperating class on Thursday. This project should contain at a minimum the following components:

· The document must be at least 2 pages long to be eligible for credit. This is defined as front and back of one 8½” x 11” sheet. To be considered for an “A” or “B” on this project the document must be at least 4 pages.

· Text, except for headlines, should be in Century Schoolbook or Times 11 point font.

· Must contain 1-2 photographs per page.

· All images (graphics, photos, etc.) are properly cited.

· Must have an introduction that includes a description of the classroom environment (objects, colors, sounds, activities, language, etc). What does it feel like to be in there?

· Must include your personal observations from your time in the classroom.
