Cool Mercy Corps Events!

Interested in a career in international development? Or life overseas in a hardship post?

Please join us on International Women’s day, Thursday, March 8th at 7pm when Lorina McAdam, former Mercy Corps Country Director in the Congo will reflect on her 13-year career in international development and the current situation of Congolese women. This is a FREE event, please RSVP here.

Next, we welcome you to a talk by novelist and journalist, Maaza Mengiste on Wednesday, March 21st at 7pm. Mengiste's will weave a personal account of her experience as an Ethiopian refugee with the current events in the region. Her debut novel, Beneath the Lion’s Gaze is a historical fiction account of the 1974 youth revolution in Ethiopia. This is a ticketed event. Regular tickets $15; Student tickets $10.
